After Sept 1, expect to pay a small cost for certifying your business records or real estate, warned the news blog Top 10 Costa Rica last week. The old Web site www.registronacional.go.cr is also being retired in favor of www.mpdigital.com
Paper certifications are also available in person through some municipalities and Banco de Costa Rica branches. The charge for Web certificates is a nominal 2,500 colones.
